HIGH PRESSURE FOGGING OF CEREALS
BRUMSTYL FOGGERS FOR THE FOOD INDUSTRY
High pressure misting is used for flour production. During the processing, the husk around the grain needs to be separated from the grain. For this purpose, the grain has to be moistened in order to obtain a perfect hygrometry for the milling.
The high-pressure mister is also used for malting beer or whisky. To release the enzymes, the cereals need to be moistened to germinate.
Let’s take barley as an example. To germinate it needs water and oxygen. Indeed, its wheat must pass from 15 to 45% of moisture to be able to germinate.
Thanks to fogging, micro-droplets of water are sprayed while providing abundant oxygenation.
